Super soda

This strip won’t make much sense to our American friends because over there in the States, it’s is normal to have drinks refilled… I mean, literally, a 1 liter soda is refill… Then everyone wonders why many people are overweight…

Back to Switzerland, the other day I was in a fast-food that should remain nameless (starts with “M”, ends with “cdonald’s”) and I ordered a drink. The girl asked me if I wanted the “super” size which is 0.75 liters here (yeah I know… we’re small players here). Yet I couldn’t believe it. A BIG soda here in Switzerland used to be 0.5 liters… hell I even remember when 0.33 liters was big and the 0.25 liters a small one…

At this rate, in a few years we’ll be at the same level as the US. Scary? well, like I say many times, I don’t entirely blame fast-foods. First of all, they’re only offering a vast selection only to give us choice, which leads to the second point, we DO have the choice NOT to get the 0.75l soda… BUT people are so dumb, they’d still buy it just because it’s available.

Natural selection is on its way.
