3rd stage, acceptance

So we’re back with that dumb Hello Kitty disaster and our several stages. Today, we’re talking about stage 3, acceptance.

This could really take some time to arrive. Acceptance is probably the trickiest because it may as well never happen… ever. Some people would just shut themselves and pretend that it never occurred (stage 2, denial). If you see someone screaming and running naked on the street, that’s probably one of them (you may shoot them… they’re loud and annoying. If one of them talks to me, I pretend he doesn’t exist, drives them mad).

Anyway, there are several reasons why you finally accept that difficult and painful situation. Maybe you have had a sudden strike of light, maybe a group of super hot Swedish models help you out or maybe you realize that being a cry baby won’t help at all.

Acceptance takes balls, not just yours, I mean bull balls. You have to be strong and brave in order to accept whatever comes to you. And the funny thing about it, is that this 3rd stage might actually never happen and skip to stage 4… anger. Some carebear would say “nooo, don’t get angry, you have to accept it, God wanted it – Oh yeah? Hey, how about you ebay a jackhammer and shove it up yours and see if God wanted that? k bye”. What I’m saying is that acceptance could really come at the end as well, after all stages have been completed.

As for me, I’m a good “acceptance guy”. Actually, it doesn’t matter whether I accept the situation or not. I’m a problem solver, I solve problem, I have solutions to problems… So the situation is accepted by default… it needs to be because otherwise, I cannot have a proper thinking on how to deal with it.

Anyway, stage 4 is fun… it’s anger… because once you’ve accepted it, you realize how frustrated you are and how real the situation is. Some people don’t get angry, that’s fine. I do and it’s fun ’cause a well canalized anger could lead to great things.
