Virtual wife

True story I read from Lisa Katayama, a guest blogger at Boing-Boing. It’s about this guy named “Sal9000″ who decided to give a middle finger bye-bye to real women and get married with a virtual video game character called “Nene Anegasaki”. I’m clearly having mixed feelings here, not sure if I should die laughing or slap that dude’s face really hard.

So what do we have here… a guy who’s clearly disappointed with real women and decided to lock himself up into a virtual relationship with his Nintendo DS. Why, why, why… I once again blame the feminists who are clearly messing things up and will eventually destroy the world as we know it (yes even the one Michael Jackson dreamed of). This seems to be particularly true in Japan with more men turning into wimps, dressing like girls thinking they will be more accepted. On the other side, women are becoming either more aggressive or more a pain in the ass (or both… jackpot…).

And I’m ready to bet my left ball that Sal9000 is not a solo case. It’s only fair to believe that in our current society, men are getting completely lost on how to behave with women. On one side, you have posters and ads of very sexy hot babes who scream for attention and on the other side, actual 3D feminists who castrate these same men for the sole purpose of pay back and getting the “equality” they’ll never have anyway.

Beside that whole feminism retarded movement, this raises another question regarding that virtual “relationship”. What is gonna happen when Sal9000’s Nintendo DS eventually breaks down? How about sitting next to someone who’s playing that same game with his “wife”, would that be cheating? Before I slap the living shit out of him, I will ask him these questions should we ever meet (I’ll be in Japan in December, fingers crossed…).

Il a les lunettes assorties à sa femme, il a pas tout perdu

Everything is a matter of cycle. In a few decades or so, men will have their own sexual revolution and they will claim the right to manhood the same way women claimed equality.
It’s not our fault if you’re becoming wimps, it just proves men are not men enough to stand up against our pretty smiles :D
    We rule.

    PS: why the left one??

Je suis fan des deux derniers commentaires.

Et je ne veux pas savoir ce qu’il fait avec sa “femme” quand ils sont qu’à deux.

I wonder if he’s just another victim of the giant question now looming over ever single male: “What does it mean to be a man?” Seeing how much pressure guys receive from women and each other to act like-to be men, while simultaneously having their traditional roles swept out from underneath them, might explain SAL9000’s relationship with a virtual character. Nene cannot have expectations for him, cannot hurt him, and therefore provides refuge from reality.

That and/or he might simply be addicted to the game. It’s not uncommon. He just had the balls the get married to his virtual crush unlike most people.

Yes Kajikiri, I believe that men nowadays have an identity issue. On one side, feminism castrates us and on the other, we have the whole metrosexual-is-cool trend. This is just the beginning and Sal9000 is for sure not alone.

The addiction from such game is also correct and can only make the situation even worse. I believe the game creators knew perfectly well what they were doing. What they don’t realize is that they participate in the collapse of manhood for money.

I’m clearly not having a go at Sal9000 (although I would give him a wake up slap), he’s just a victim…

c’Mon let’s face it…as much as Jun’ likes to bring the “F” word it’s not a feminist issue really…it’s more a general human relationship issue (old ladies with dogs anyone?) loneliness and solitude are the byproducts of our society…the real question may be this one (please say it out loud with the right tune and feather shoulder pieces ):
Are we human? Or are we dancer? (wtf?!)
