Alright, I love Paul Smith (not in a homosexual way… not that there’s anything wrong with that… not that it needs to be mentioned… oh ffs) and Japanese love Paul Smith, so I love Japanese (not in a homosexual way… not that there’s… wait).
Shops in Tokyo are amazing. Everything is made so you’re sucked in (that’s what she said) and if you come out without buying anything, means you’re either broke or had both your hands cut off. First of all, the service. I could literally slap a shop assistant and still get away with it with a smile. Not a reason to treat people working there like shit but the fact that it’s a possibility empowers the customer and thus makes us feel important.
Paul Smith store is just one of the few. I could spend an entire day in a Muji, UNIQLO, graniph or in any big department store around. Customer service here in Geneva is from okaaay to crap… and I cannot even imagine in France (and yes, by “France”, I mean Paris). So I know that some Westerners going to Tokyo feel very awkward shopping there because all of the sudden, they feel that people care about them. Shops here need to be nuked.
