Now that I’m reading the strip again, feels like I’m sending the message that I love Nespresso which doesn’t make sense as I don’t drink coffee. But really here I’m showing how I have no respect for the U.N.
Maybe I’m having a go at the wrong guys here because to be honest, I have no clue what they were doing in Haiti but I know for a fact that they do jack shit here in Geneva. How do I know that? Well, first of all I’ve worked there for 3 months and left right before going insane. I would say that perhaps 10% of the people do actual work. The rest must have an MBA in coffee drinking and specialized in taking breaks. They arrive at 10 in the morning, have 2h breaks every minute and leave the “office” at around 16 in the afternoon so that they can quickly get to their overpriced flats where they pay no rent.
Oh and did I also mentioned that their paycheck is as fat as Godzilla and everything is tax free of course. While I was there, the peak of the day was these little buffet where people would socialize and talk about how great their golf swing is. Idiots.
Many of these “I-save-the-world” shit offices should really lead by sending the proper example. I read in the news that people from Haiti talked about how “workers” at the U.N. would drive around with their fancy limousine and go to expensive restaurants. I for once did not feel bad at all for the destruction of the U.N. And as for the peace keeping force, really, let’s send the U.S. army, they might be arrogant cow-boys but at least they get the job done eventhough, I’m sorry to say… Haiti is beyond saving.
Followed your link from DrunkDuck. Very funny stuff. Look forward to more.
Heya R3v3rend, welcome here! Thanks for passing by.
i must say i really like this comic…and being in the US Army i couldnt agree more. We are arrogant cowboys but unlike the UN when we go in, we get it done as fast as our politicians allow it(trust me if it was up to the troops wed be long gone from iraq by now, we dont enjoy it any more than anyone else..), however ive seen some of the UN guys before…seen them not EVER doing work more specifically..
Vicious > thanks for passing by. Yeah there’s so much to say about the U.N. (or nothing, depends how you look at it). Glad you enjoyed the comic!
