Yeah I know, I had to jump the bandwagon fest about that new Apple device called the iPad. But more than the product, I really wanted to talk about all the Apple fanboys (don’t be offended by the word “fanboy”, we’re all someone else’s fanboy). Here’s the thing, Apple has brought many great products into the market including the iPod and more recently, the iPhone. But a tablet? Hmmm I really have mixed feelings about it and trust me all I own is Apple branded.
But what’s fun to watch (and read), is all the crazy hype that went before the announcement (iPhone, anyone?). But more fun, is probably all the comments I can read AFTER the Apple keynote. Mac fanboys blindly defending any products from the company and not seeing all the flaws that it might have. Just to name a few, no front camera, no multitasking, no USB (wtf really… ). But the average fanboy doesn’t see that… all he sees is the logo on the sexy titanium shell.
But don’t get me wrong, I believe it’s gonna again be a hit ( not that all Apple products are… remember Cube? Apple TV?) and more interesting, it’s probably gonna change the way we, webcomic artists, will display our comics. If Apple manages to put in place the same kind of business model for books that they’ve done for music and films… I believe there’s a entire new stack of artist who will probably start selling via iTunes and give a middle finger bye-bye to editors…

Et concernant l’Ipad, j’avoue que ça donne assez envie comme gadget mais bon, encore une fois je pense que le prix va être une belle douche froide.
Par contre j’aime beaucoup ce que tu dis à propos des artistes qui vendraient leurs BDs via Itunes (ou autre) pour contrer le milieu des éditeurs, ça fait rêver (même si le principe existe déjà, non ? mais je crois que c’est encore assez inconnu).

Franchement, j’ai regardé vite fait la présentation, et deux trois vidéos à côté, et il apporte vraiment rien de bien, enfin j’ai le même en plus petit, c’est un iphone qui offre déjà plus de possibilité.
Et puis c’est plus imposant qu’un netbook, sans même le côté pratique.

Silver > Merci! Pour le prix, Apple semble vouloir mettre la tablette dans les mains de tout le monde en la proposant à 500$… Difficile à dire si c’est trop cher ou bon marché tant qu’on l’a pas dans les mains.

Veso > Encore une fois, même si je trouve qu’il lui manque quelques trucs, j’attends de l’avoir entre les mains au magasin pour me faire une opinion. Ce qui m’intéresse surtout c’est tout le marché du livre qui pourrait suivre sur iTune… cela risque de grandement changer notre manière d’acheter des bouquins et de les lire. 500$, ce n’est pas beaucoup plus cher qu’un e-book. Quant aux netbooks, wtf piece of plastic crap penguin shit.
Ouai enfin il parle déjà d’une tablette beaucoup plus lumineuse que les e book de maintenant, donc ça va encore pas mal fatiguer les yeux. Et puis pour 500$ je me refais ma bibliothèque avec des vrais bouquins avec des vrais pages que je peux même revendre ensuite si l’envie m’en prend pour en racheter d’autre!
sais pas ce que c’est un ipad et suis trop nase pour tout lire mais ton strip est excellent
