Today is a big day… it’s Chinese New Year! It’s also a good year as it’s the year of the rabbit. Yeah, I’m rabbit. Some douchebags often brag about how cool they are because they’re “dragon” or “tiger”. But here’s what the Chinese have to say about rabbits… in short, we have refined and good tastes. We’re also clever, quick, ambitious and have a canny understanding of things. Apparently rabbits get along with boars, dragons, lamb and yes, rabbits.
Now let’s compare Chinese New Year versus Western one. During Chinese New Year, families gather and prepare diner all together. We eat dumplings, noodles and all sorts of good stuff. In cities, people go on the streets are have fireworks and the elder give money to the young ones in a red envelop. In short, the Asian nation is one big party.
The Western New Year (beside the fact that the calendar is wrong) is about good BUT expensive food, too close from Xmass so there’s still family drama going on, people kiss each other thus spreading diseases and finally go to overrated clubs to get drunk and pick up a fight. All the western countries/cities celebrating Chinese New Year (outside of existing Chinatowns) are morons. I rest my case.
On a side note, today’s strip’s structure is a bit different… can you tell? If so, let me know what you think.
